THE DEATH OF THE REPUBLIC

A Democratic Republic relies on 4 things, and must have them, or it will die. Of that I have NO doubts and NO illusions. These Four Necessities are:

1. A LITERATE and Educated People that not only know how to read and write, but know how to think and can understand and are willing to take on the duties of a Free People…

2. People who will be responsible for their own needs and those of their neighbors and not rely on or wait around for the government to help them

3. Free, Fair and honest ELECTIONS, free from the hint of CORRUPTION, VOTER FRAUD or VOTER INTIMIDATION

4. A Free and Impartial Press who understand their duty to objectively report all of the facts all of the time to to the people, unless there is some extremely compelling argument (National Security, the Safety of the President) against reporting it.

I’m sure many can find more – I did at first – But these are the necessities in a country where the people choose the leaders. Because of recent events, I believe an argument can be made that all 4 have been broken in one way or another.

I constantly run into people who aren’t literate and who can’t think – That YouTube I posted earlier where the people said they were voting for Obama but thought he held McCain’s positions was, frankly, frightening. Chop one leg off the stool.

I just find the idea appalling that, when Katrina was approaching, people in New Orleons were waiting for the government to save them, and then went to the Superdome when it didn’t, and that was the best the city could do when they city HAD A PLAN which, if implemented would have taken all of those who were waiting out of New Orleans TO SAFETY. This leg is just barely hanging on.

And, The Obama Campaign gave $880,000 to a group, ACORN, known for committing VOTER FRAUD. What did he expect? He can’t claim he didn’t know – His pal Ayers ran the group! I guess he figured that, if the polls showing him up by 12% weren’t right, why that DEAD VOTE would just put him OVER THE TOP! Either that, or NO ONE would catch him or care if he did.

We’ve see this before, but NEVER SO BRAZENLY! And, because NO ONE on the Democratic side seems to care, I can safely say that leg of the stool IS GONE! That’s 2 Legs gone!

The well documented News Media for Obama. I think the only reason CNN didn’t take the Obama Infomercial is that most of the people watching CNN would have then realized how little difference there was between the coverage of the Election on CNN and the Obama Infomercial, and they would have switched to FOX! CBS, NBC. ABC – they’ve all given up, and they’re News Segments are so short they probably figured NO ONE would notice…

3 legs to the stool gone! We’ve barely got a one legged stool. This Republic’s a goner! Unless someone does something about the Voter Fraud, teaching kids how to organize information and how to think and starts a REBEL, FREE PRESS, This Republic will not long last.

I heard someone say they thought this might be our last election if Obama won. I’m not so ready to disagree as I was.

That these people don’t know that Obama is Pro-Abortion, Anti-Iraq War and didn’t choose Sarah Palin as his running mate is absolutely appalling! It means they are going into the Polling Places thinking, “DEMOCRAT GOOD! REPUBLICAN BAD!” No Amount of reasoning or pointing out that the candidate they plan to vote for opposes everything they believe in is going to keep them from voting for that candidate if that candidate is a DEMOCRAT. And, NO Amount of reasoning will convince them to vote for someone who supports EVERYTHING they claim to believe in if that candidate is a REPUBLICAN.

THIS IS IRRATIONALITY SQUARED! This is the worst form of insanity, because we have people who’ve been brainwashed to believe that they have to vote for Democrats because, “Democrats care about the little guy.” (I’ll go into detail about how little the Democratic elites really care about the LITTLE GUY LATER…)

I’ve heard Governor Sarah Palin is called “The Diva” by many of those running the McCain Campaign, as well as by many on the Democratic side. This is partly because of her appearance, partly because of her willingness to disagree with Senator McCain and partly because of the $150,000 some McCain backers spent for clothes for her and her family for this campaign.

The wardrobe controversy, first reported by political news website Politico, has been used by some critics to try to undercut Palin’s image as a down-to-earth working mother who touts her small town values.

The clothes were purchased for Palin and her family for use if needed during the Republican nominating convention in September.

I belong to a Church called the Traditional Anglican Communion – Hence my “Nome de Guerre”. We often joke that our Archbishop’s Primatial See is actually a Business Class Seat on a Quantas 747, because he travels so much. He’s paired down his luggage to his shoes, business suits, Cassucks, Crosier, Mitre and Skullcap. Just about everything else he needs can be waiting for him at the church he’s going to to (including new clean underwear if it’s a long trip). and, Most of his stops are predictable enough that he can leave soiled suits at the dry cleaners to pick up when he comes through again, or he stays long enough so the 1-day dry cleaners can service him before he leaves.

Now, here’s a little secret, Most men only need 2 to 4 pair of shoes while traveling – 2 Black (1 Brown) & 1 running/cross-trainers (if you work out). If you buy good quality dress shoes, such as Mephistos, you can use them to walk in and eschew the trainers.

None of this is the situation with Sarah Palin. Like most women, she must match her shoes to her outfits, withou fail, or the outfit is ruined. So, Each outfit almost requires it’s own pair of shoes. If you buy designer outfits (and who dosn’t at that level), you also must buy “designer” or near designer (there are those blasted $350-450 Mephistos again!). And, If you thought the outfits were cheap, allow Hillary or our Speaker of the House from California to educate of that next time they go shopping. If you came home spending less than $750-1,000 per outfit, I’d be pleasantly surprised.

This campaign will last a minimum of 96 days from the beginning of the Republican National Convention to the end of Election Day, with a minimum of 2 campaign stops per day, including news appearances. Figuring that Palin would campaign 6 days out of 7 until the final 16 days, and that each campaign stop would be in a different city (So Dry-Cleaning soiled outfits is out of the question), Sarah Palin would need 140 outfits, and, if she’s lucky, 30 pairs of shoes. Even if she managed to “Get some deals”, I’d be surprised if this costs less than $100,000, and that’s the cost of putting a woman in front of the crowds and the cameras for 200 total appearances in 200 different locals in a country as geographically diverse as ours.

I’m sure that, if we examined the Clinton campaign expenditures, we’d find something similar whenever she got rolling, and that’s the way it is.

Maybe Barbara Boxer has the right idea “frumping it up”! It sure is a lot cheaper and saves her a lot of money! If we want a woman President, we’re going to have to live with that, or be willing to accept someone who “Frumps it up” as Barbara Boxer does.

The “Attempt to Assassinate” Senator Obama

I got on my old G-4 IMac an hour ago and saw this:

Fed’s disrupt Skinhead Plot to assassinate Obama

WASHINGTON – Law enforcement agents have broken up a plot by two neo-Nazi skinheads to assassinate Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and shoot or decapitate 88 black people, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives said Monday.

You have to read into the report a few paragraphs to get the REAL STORY:

The men, Daniel Cowart, 20, of Bells, Tenn., and Paul Schlesselman 18, of Helena-West Helena, Ark., are being held without bond. Agents seized a rifle, a sawed-off shotgun and three pistols from the men when they were arrested. Authorities alleged the two men were preparing to break into a gun shop to steal more.

For the Obama plot, the legal documents show, Cowart and Schlesselman “planned to drive their vehicle as fast as they could toward Obama shooting at him from the windows.”

“Both individuals stated they would dress in all white tuxedos and wear top hats during the assassination attempt,” the court complaint states. “Both individuals further stated they knew they would and were willing to die during this attempt.”

Not exactly a realistic assassination plan – Esp. when you consider “Dumb and Dumber” were “planning” to slaughter at least 88 blacks in a high school in Tenn. at the beginning of a Murder Spree which was to culminate in this outlandish attempt on Senator Obama Life.

The article said, “The Authorities took this threat very seriously.” I’m sure the students in the High School were in real danger – many of them would have been killed. But I’m equally sure “Dumb and Dumber” would have been killed there as well.

Because of previous concerns about the safety of Senator Obama, He has a Secret Service Escort second in size only to that of the President, and certainly larger than that of Senator McCain. I’m sure Senator Obama was and is safe from threats such as those posed by “Dumb and Dumber”.

I’m also equally sure the Obama Campaign and the MSM will play this for all the sympathy they can get, when the only people who really deserve sympathy are the High School students who most certainly would have been killed by “Dumb and Dumber” if the “authorities” hadn’t arrested them when they did.

PRAYERS FOR OUR COUNTRY

Today is Sunday – I’ll be attending Divine liturgy (Sunday Services to those who don’t understand) in a few hours. I want to ask for those who are believers as I am to pray for the following:
1. The Health, Safety and Welfare of John McCain and Sarah Palin;
2. The Safety of our troops and for their victory over our enemies;
3. That our countrymen would become grateful for what our troops are doing to defend their freedom and stop slandering and libeling them;
4. That our “friends” in Europe and elsewhere would actually support us and Israel in the War against Islamist-Fascism;
5. That the Islamist-Fascists and their supporters would repent and stop their “Jihad against Crusaders, Jews and Infidels” (direct quote from bin Ladin);
6. That those who are trying to harass and intimidate supporters of McCain/Palin or otherwise interfere with our Freedom of Speech would stop doing so;
7. That those supporting and campaigning for McCain/Palin would be protected from harassment, and intimidation and other violence;
8. That the American people would see who really caused the economic mess we’re in and stop buying the Media Lies and blaming the Bush Administration, “Deregulating Republicans”, “Predatory Lenders” and “Greedy Wall-Street Fat-Cats”;
9. That the Main Stream Media would act as OBJECTIVE JOURNALISTS and not as PROPAGANDISTS, telling the American people ALL of the facts and not just the ones complimentary to Obama/Biden and damning to McCain/Palin;
10. That the American people would see why we need to elect John McCain;
For the Recovery of Barack Obama’s Grandmother, and that he come to know God’s mercy and love during this difficult time;
11. That those who support Abortion Rights would come to understand that Abortion not only kills human beings, it injures the women it’s supposed to help; and,
12. For the Health, Safety and Welfare of Pope Benedict XVI.

If you don’t agree with my list, create you own. Hopefully, if you’re reading this, you don’t want ill for anyone (except for someone to lose in this Presidential Campaign) and you do want our troops to win in Iraq, Afghanistan and wherever else they may be. All I ask is that, if you are a Christian, you pray and that you pray fervently to the Lord who make us and redeemed us with His Blood. If you aren’t, Pray fervently to the “Lord of Hosts”.

One of the Saints once said, “Work as if everything depended upon your work, and pray as if everything depended upon your prayers.” We’re going to have a hard 10 days.

POLLS and POLLING

Polling is both an art and a science. Properly done, a poll can give us an accurate “snapshot” of how actual voters would vote (since that’s what we’re talking about) if an election were held THAT DAY. There are ways I can make the poll more accurate and predictive of what voters would do: I can poll LIKELY VOTERS instead of Registered Voters or Eligible voters; I can do whatever I can to ensure that my sample reflects the American VOTING population as a whole (I’ll need to consult Registration Rolls and Census Data and try to “Randomize” the Sample) and choose a LARGER rather than a SMALLER Sample Size (Sample Size 2,000 is prefered over Sample size 500); I’ll have to ask the questions in as neutral manner as possible – “Which of the following tickets were you planning to vote for?” Then simply list the names wihtout Party affiliation.

If I do those things, I’ll probably get some useful information – Something, that if I do it day in and day out, a campaign can use. Something, that, if it’s done over the weekend and on the Monday immediately preceding an election, may be useful in predicting the result.

The Polls we are hearing about on the Mainstream Media Media aren’t trying to do what I described above. When I see one set of Polls showing one Candidate with a 12% lead and another set showing the same Candidate with a 4% lead (within the Margin of Error), and at least two of those showing the Candidate with the 4% lead are those used by the Democratic Party for Planning Purposes, I get more than a little suspicious. One of these can’t be telling us the truth, because, if they all used correct Statistical Methodology, they should all be showing Obama with either a 1 – 7% lead or a 8 – 15% lead over McCain. Since 2 of the ones at 4% are ones the “Politicos” rely on for their information, while the Main Stream Media has been busy feeding us the ones showing Obama with a 10-14%, my suspicion is that ones we’re being fed are Oversampling Democrats and “Undersampling Republicans” (40+% Democrats, 30-% Republicans 25+% others & Independents) to arrive at their figures .

Mark Twain once said, “You have Liars, Damned Liars, and then you have Statisticians.” He also said, “Figures don’t lie, but Liars figure.” The question is, “Why are the Liars figuring and using Statistics?”

If you’re just a bit cynical, what would Republicans & McCain supporters do who really believed that Barack Obama not only had a 13% lead in the Popular Vote Nationwide, but had “Locked-up 350 Electoral Votes? THEY’D QUIT! They’d quit giving money, time and effort to the McCain/Palin Campaign! What if, with all the MILLIONS OF DOLLARS the Obama Campaign spent, an engineered and TIMELY national tragedy of immense proportions and the persistent and pervasive Bias of the MSM, all they could eke out was a 4% lead in the POLLS and possibly 270 Electoral Votes? What if, after worker intimidation (unreported by the MSM – That helps the DNC) and thuggishness never before seen in this country, all they could get was a a lead that was within the Margin of Error? What if, after misrepresentations and distortions by the Media on their behalf, after cover-ups that would shame the “Plumbers” and the Clintons, all they could get was a lead so tenuous they were sure it could disappear from “The Bradley Effect” on Election Day? What do you think they’d and their friends in the MSM would do? Do you really think they’d report the Polls that show McCain within the Margin of Error?!? Do you think they’d even show the polls that made it look as if the race were close?!?

HELL NO! Right Now, Their job isn’t to inform! Their job is to Suppress – Suppress GIVING to McCain/Pain and Groups who are trying to help them win – Suppress VOLUNTEERING as phone callers, Poll watchers, drivers, etc. between now and Tues., Nov. 4th – and Suppress VOTING for McCain and what you believe in.

If they can keep you from Giving, Volunteering, Helping and Voting, they will win, and, They will win not only because of Voter Fraud, but because they got us discouraged. Don’t let them do that.

Please be smarter than that, and please be smarter than they give you credit for.

Good MANE, fellow bloggers, posters & readers. In the next few days, I hope to discuss Barack Obama’s ties to Rev. Wright and ACORN, along with a subject I’m sure you’re all tired of – How we got into the financial and economic mess we’re in. Nancy Pelosi, her fellow Democrats and the Main Stream Media all want you to believe that the Bush Administration, Deregulating Republicans, Predatory Lenders and Greedy People on Wall Street are all responsible for this financial crisis and accompanying recession. Some have even pressed witnesses to Congress to call this a Recession so they could fix the blame for that on the Bush Administration and on Congressional Republicans.

At the same time, I know I’m going to need to discuss the topic of POLLING, and why so many different polls could diverge so much in their results on the same day, and what the MSM hopes to accomplish by citing those polls which show Obama overwhelmingly in the lead while ignoring those which show the race to be within the “Margin of Error” or even closer. Why you should ignore this attempt to keep you from voting on Election Day and not only vote early, but contribute any spare resources you might have to a McCain/Palin 503/c and volunteer to drive other “discouraged” McCain voters to the polls on Election Day.

I’m reticent to add this, because I know many PUMAS are “Pro-Choice” Feminists, but I do believe a case can and should be made that Abortion not only takes human lives, but it also wounds the women who have them:
